MC Easy Rider - London's Finest Entertainer - R.I.P

Today I received the news of a great friend passing away, Mr EASY RIDER. Many would know him as "that guy with the cheeky smile", and for those closest to him, he was Leonard from around the way to us. I've had the honour of knowing and working with Leonard, and would like to at this time pass my condolence onto his family as I can't begin to imagine how this lost is affecting you.

Leonard was always a bright spark in a dark dim lit room of many, his presence never going un-noticed, and his character never forgotten. Leonard was always a positive person to speak with, always had time for anyone, and would never see anyone being done wrong by. He was introduced to me by Terry in 1998, and from that day it was always a pleasure working with him at DJ Showcase, my sets always sounded grown, when we were younger as he was different from all the rest of the MC's around. When Artwork & Danny put Leonard on the D'n'D produced track Diamond Rings, it was a proud day for us all, and of course it was always a top track in my bag to get rinsed, not just because I was one of the first to own the test press, but to know it was educating the scene on this up and coming artist by the name of Easy Rider from the depths of Croydon & South London.

In the past year, I have seen the name of Easy Rider grow within the Dubstep circuit off his own merit, getting bookings to many events, more recently SIN CITY of course, Outlook Festival and this past weekend DUB4LIFE. His style was his own, and the crowd always loved the sound of his lyrics through the system. I sit here just thinking of all the good times I had with Leonard, and all I can remember is his smile, never a frowning guy, and everyone loved him.

Leonard, you won't be forgotten my friend, my last memories of you at Plan B, in the back room laughing and joking, and calming our hyper Princess Priya down will always stay with me, and the recordings I have of you blessing my sets will always be played loudly so others can hear you. You might not be here in body, but your spirit will live on. We have lost one of our Great Ones, your family has lost a great man, Your daughter a loving father, Terry has lost a brother in you, your friends have lost Lennie, and the scene has lost MC EASY RIDER aka "London's Finest Entertainer". It breaks my heart typing this, but I couldn't let this day go by and I not be able to share this with the world.

You will be missed
Peace out & Rest in Peace
Allan B
